Characteristics of Shokoji Nursery School

School lunch

All meals are prepared by a specialized nutritionist.
We offer a wide variety of dishes that are carefully considered for nutritional balance, seasoning, and seasonal flavors, so you will never tire of them.

Nursery room environment settings

We use wooden desks, chairs, play equipment, etc. to create an environment where children can relax and feel the warmth of wood. The nursery room has a corner where children can fully enjoy playing with their favorite toys that foster their independence, imagination, and sensitivity.

Arts and Crafts

We hold art and craft activities every month. Not only do they help develop the child's dexterity and intellectual curiosity, but they also give them a sense of accomplishment when they complete the project. In addition, we encourage them to develop an interest in various cultures by having them create projects that coincide with the seasons, such as Hanamatsuri, Tanabata, Christmas, and Setsubun.

Picture books

We read picture books and Kamishibai storytelling to children every day. Reading aloud is also important as it deepens communication with caregivers. Also, by getting children interested in things they cannot actually experience through picture books and empathizing with the characters, rich expressions and sensitivities are cultivated. At Shokoji Nursery School, we have many picture books and Kamishibai storytelling to encourage children to become interested in a variety of things.

Childcarephilosophy

~Childcare with a friendly face and kind words~

Do you know the expression "Wagen Aigo"? Of course, it's a Buddhist term.

To put it simply, it means a "gentle expression and gentle speech." If you can face various things with that kind of attitude, I think you can live a peaceful life.

Don't you think these kinds of things are important when working in childcare? Childcare work is very hard, but you have to keep smiling. Always look at them with a gentle gaze and keep speaking kind words. That kind of thing gets through to the children, and I think that kind of attitude is important in building a relationship of trust with the children.

This is not just true for relationships with children. It is also true for relationships between childcare workers, between childcare workers and parents, and between parents themselves. If you communicate with them in a friendly manner, you will surely be able to trust each other.

At Shokoji Nursery School, we place great importance on this spirit of kindness and gentleness.

"Fostering the ability to think and act independently - Cherishing the feeling that you did it yourself!"

We are working hard towards our childcare goal. If we provide childcare with a friendly and kind spirit, children will feel safe and will continue to take on new challenges. Yes, I think this will help develop their independence. When children say, "I did it myself!", we rejoice together with them in a friendly and kind manner. I think this is very important.

Please come and experience Shokoji Nursery School's gentle and kind-hearted childcare!
