Features of our nursery
Nursery room for 1 and 2 year olds
This is the nursery room for 1- and 2-year-olds. We also use this room for joint daycare in the morning and evening. Kita-Urawa Nursery has adopted a corner nursery system, and there are always 3-4 types of toys set up. By placing various toys in one room, such as playhouse, blocks, picture books, stuffed animals, and trains, children can find their favorite playthings, choose them by themselves, and play with them.
Handmade toys
These are handmade toys made by nursery teachers to suit the development of children. By incorporating finger-based play such as pot drop, button fastening, and stringing, children can broaden their interests, develop concentration, and use finger movements that they do not normally use, resulting in a variety of benefits. Children also enjoy "quiet" activities by sitting on chairs.
Physical activity
During the rainy season and when it is very hot or cold, children have to spend a lot of time indoors. We use trampolines, tunnels, wave balances, and other equipment to keep them moving indoors. Children follow the rules and enjoy playing physical games safely. Recently, indoor play has evolved, outdoor play has decreased, and children's motor functions have declined, which has become a problem. By playing physical games, children can improve their motor skills in a fun way.
