Plum blossoms in the grounds of Shokoji Temple
The plum trees in the grounds of Shokoji Temple are ripe..
According to the gardener, this year is a bumper crop everywhere, and Shokoji Temple is no exception, with the fragrance filling the grounds.
The other day, staff members harvested only the plums they could reach and prepared plum syrup.
They will be ready in July. The colored ones would make good pickled plums.
This is how it got to where it is in a week.
