[Yoshidamachi Kindergarten] Morning and homecoming meetings and picture book introduction

We will introduce the morning and end-of-day meetings and picture books at Shokoji Nursery School Yoshidacho.

At morning and after-school meetings, we sit around the piano and enjoy singing and playing hand games together to the music.

We sing seasonal songs, songs from children's favorite picture books, Nono-sama songs, and morning and end-of-days songs, and we also say greetings.
My favorite song right now is "There are no ghosts." We all move around and get into the rhythm♪

Next, let me introduce the picture book corner.

The year-old class focuses on picture books that allow children to enjoy onomatopoeia and mimetic words.
The children sit on their caregivers' laps and enjoy reading picture books in a relaxed atmosphere.

Vegetable picture books are popular in the one-year-old class.
When they find delicious vegetables in a picture book, they pretend to eat them and even bring them to the nursery teacher's mouth.

The 2-year-old class has picture books on a variety of subjects.
Some children even turn the pages themselves and read aloud, helping them memorize the book!

In joint daycare, children take out picture books from other classes, read them, and if they like them, they put them on their own class's bookshelf.
The picture books are then sent on mini-study trips to various rooms. The nursery teachers also discuss and devise ways to help the children enjoy the world of picture books.
