It was a day under an overcast sky, but I feel that days like these are important times to feel the light in our hearts.
A prayer service was held at Shokoji Temple on April 20th.
Many of you attended and we were able to spend a quiet and warm time in prayer together.
In contrast to the cloudy sky, the main hall was filled with soft lights and the sincerity of the attendees.
After the ceremony, we all planted red spider lily bulbs together.
This tiny fragment of life, held in the palm of your hand, quietly waits in the soil for the season to come. It will surely bloom into a beautiful red flower as early as this fall, or at the latest next fall.
As these red spider lilies bloom, I hope that today's prayer will bring back warm memories in your mind.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who shared this time with us. We hope to continue to cherish these opportunities for quiet connection.
