Even if time off is guaranteed as part of a system, it doesn't mean you can use it with peace of mind. You may have to be considerate of others. Shokoji Nursery School has been working on various initiatives to make it easier for children to take time off for various reasons, including life events, with peace of mind. For example, one of the goals of setting up a childcare support room to respond immediately to unforeseen circumstances was to solve such issues.
However, this problem will not be easily solved by a single nursery school alone. This is because there is a limit to how many people a nursery school can employ. In order to further solve the problem, it is necessary to cooperate with neighboring nurseries and create a system of cooperation.

Mr. Harukawa, the principal of Shokoji Nursery School Akabane Iwabuchi, is a very enthusiastic teacher who cherishes the smiles of not only the children, but also their parents, the community, and each and every nursery teacher.
When I explained the whole idea to Ms. Harukawa, she strongly agreed. However, to make it a reality, she would have to step down from her position as principal and become a full-time staff member focused on solving problems. After a month of careful consideration, plagued by worries and anxieties, she finally made up her mind and resolved to do her utmost to improve the working environment for childcare workers. Her expression brightened up, as if all her worries up until then were a lie, and her excitement for the future she is working on was so strong that it seemed to energize us as well.
We had lively discussions about our activities from next year onwards and have decided to begin preparations.
This activity has the potential to dramatically improve the working environment for those who want to contribute to society as childcare workers. Shokoji Nursery School values the philosophy of Shokoji, "Right Wisdom and Harmony," which means "thinking about how things are now and what they will be in the future and acting accordingly." Based on this philosophy, the nursery school continues to face all kinds of challenges head on and think about what they should do and act accordingly.
