[Niiza Ishigamien] January

This is Shokoji Nursery School Niiza Ishigami Garden.

This is what it looked like in January 🎍

At the first daycare of the new year, we did New Year's celebrations such as hatsumode (first shrine visit of the year), lion dancing, and drawing fortunes. So, what kind of year will this year be?

The food education for January was about the seven herbs. The children tried their best to say the somewhat difficult names of the seven herbs, touched the real herbs, and told their moms and dads about the herbs when they were picked up.

For New Year's fun, we went to the park with the kites we made ourselves. We ran around energetically and had fun flying the kites!

At the fun party, we played pretend jobs. We tried out jobs that are popular among our friends at Niiza Ishigamien. The doctors used dolls as patients, the firefighters tried to put out fires with wind, and the bakers made bread using clay.

This year, Setsubun fell on Sunday, February 2nd, so we held our Setsubun party in January.

After reading a large picture book about the Bean-Throwing Bus, we all threw beans to slay the demons.
