Today, May 4th, 2025, a sutra copying event was held at our temple.
To begin with, all participants chanted the Nembutsu in unison, then listened to a talk by the head priest, and the atmosphere in the room became quiet and calm.
The participants worked on copying the sutra, putting their heart into each and every character.
During the copying, there was a quiet, yet concentrated atmosphere, with only the sound of the brush echoing gently. As each person finished, they carefully handed in their copy, and their sincere attitude was very impressive.
Finally, we all chanted the Nembutsu again, concluding the moment with gratitude and prayer.
It was a peaceful time in which the mind was calmed and put into order. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who participated.
I am looking forward to meeting you all at the next session.
