We were given the opportunity to have Shokoji Temple featured as a "company of interest" in the February issue of Resona Research Institute's newsletter "Resona~re." We are truly grateful for this unexpected opportunity to have a temple like us featured.
We have been able to receive this recognition thanks to the support of the local community and those who have made connections with us. Shokoji Temple still has many areas where it needs to improve, and we are constantly reflecting and working on our progress, but we will use this article as encouragement to continue to work even harder.
What we aim to do is to become a guidepost and anchor for thinking about how we are now and what we should do in the future as an open, practical Buddhist temple, and to live together with others through daily reflection and chanting of the Nembutsu. We would be very happy if this publication serves as an opportunity for many people to learn about the activities of Shokoji Temple.
