Hello, this is Shokoji Nursery School Itabashi Station Front School🌸
This time, we will report on the Respect for the Aged Day event we held with the people from a nearby day care center.
Even before arriving at the facility, the children seemed excited because they were going to a different place than usual.
When they actually saw the grandparents, they saw a variety of different children, from shy and a little nervous to curious and eager to get involved 👴👵
After that, the children played their favorite songs such as "Toy Cha-cha-cha" and "Ai-ai" with instruments such as tambourines and bells together with their grandparents.
On their way home, the children presented them with a cosmos wall they had made during their painting activities, and they waved "bye-bye" and went up close to them to give them high-fives and shake their hands.
The grandparents were also seen with lovely smiles on their faces and the event ended in a peaceful mood☺️
Through this Respect for the Aged Day event, I hope that children will experience the kindness of their grandparents and other people around them, and develop a heart that can appreciate the importance of respect and gratitude.
