In the summer, it's all about playing in the water! Splashing around in the water is fun.
To celebrate Mountain Day, we had a pretend camping trip. A friend who had been camping before led the trip!
The food education activity for August was a "vegetable quiz." We quizzed the children on the cross-sections of vegetables they had grown themselves and summer vegetables. I was surprised at how quickly everyone raised their hands and answered!
The long-awaited Obon Festival. The Hoshi group carried a portable shrine and performed the Bon Odori dance. We also made masks and did yo-yo fishing. We also had a lot of games at the day care center!
It was so much fun!
