[Akabane Iwabuchien Garden] Watermelon smashing

This is Shokoji Nursery School Akabane Iwabuchi Garden 😊✨
The season for "watermelon splitting" has arrived again this year🍉🍉🍉✨

The children were thrilled to see the big, round watermelons.
First, they were curious, holding the watermelon to check its weight and smelling it.

After that, the children from the older classes had a watermelon sharing session.
The children in the toddler class were blindfolded with hand towels, and the children in the baby class wore sunglasses as they took on the challenge!

"Do your best!" "Look more this way!" They cheered on their friends.
A friend in the preschool class successfully put the stick to the watermelon, but it didn't break...

So now it's the teachers' turn.
We covered ourselves with a hand towel and spun around on the spot, and we all said, "Oh no, I'm so dizzy!" and couldn't figure out where the watermelon was!

Everyone cheered and in the end, he hit the watermelon!
"POP!!!" The watermelon finally broke.

The children and teachers applauded and cheered loudly.

Afterwards, we all enjoyed the delicious watermelon and expressed our gratitude to the people at the farm who grew it.

At the end, we made watermelon masks and took a commemorative photo📸✨
This year's theme is a fun watermelon dessert.
