The heatwaves have continued this year, but the flowers that were hardened by last year's heatwaves are still going strong and not withering. The crape myrtle flowers have also bloomed beautifully.
At the Shokoji Temple Monthly Memorial Service in August, we held a memorial service for two stupas. The stupas are like the deceased themselves, so they naturally make us recite the Nembutsu. In front of the deceased and the Buddha, let us quietly reflect on ourselves and do our best to make each day from now on a little more wonderful.
