At Shokoji Temple, we have begun offering Naikan-fuda (wallpapers of the temple) as a form of offering money to the deceased, with the hope that all those connected with the temple will be able to live their troubled daily lives with a little more peace.
Naikan-fuda are talismans that contain key words that help us reaffirm the essence of things that we tend to overlook or forget when we are so swamped with the daily grind of life.
Using the written key phrases as a basis for reflection, you can reaffirm the things that you should truly value, and use them as proof of your determination to put them into practice until your next visit.
You can purchase Naikan-fuda (inner view charms) via electronic payment. Please write your name on the charm. After offering a prayer to the principal image, insert the charm into the offering hole.
Please keep the Naikanfuda with you at all times and when you come back to pray in a month, you can offer it as an offering as a report of your success.
The words on the Naikan-fuda change every month, and we believe that praying every month will help you live a peaceful life.
