Hello, this is Shokoji Nursery School in front of Itabashi Station.
This time, we will bring you a report on our food education activities.
This year we held our first food education activity 🍴 We had the children separate the salad they usually eat into vegetables and sauce, and then they poured the sauce over it in front of them, mixed it themselves and ate it!
The children stare intently at the teacher pouring the sauce 👀 When they are told they will be mixing it, the children say "I want to do it!" and hand out a plate to each child, who then tries to mix it ✊🏻
There were various scenes, such as mixing with a serious look on their face, and mixing while shouting "I hope it's delicious!" After they finished mixing, they ate the salad they had mixed.
After taking a bite, some kids smiled and said, "Mmm! It's delicious!" and some kids who usually leave their vegetables tried to take a bite! Some kids even asked for lots of refills!
Mixing the food ourselves gave us the opportunity to learn how school lunches are made, and it was more delicious and fun to eat than usual ✨We clapped our hands together and said "Thank you for the meal 🙏🏻" to show our gratitude to the cooks who always prepare the food!
