[Akabane Iwabuchien Garden] Flower Festival

This is Shokoji Nursery School Akabane Iwabuchi Garden 😊✨

The other day, we had the Hanamatsuri, a festival to celebrate Buddha's birthday.

For some children this is their first time, while for some in the preschool class it is already their fourth time.

This year, the children offered lanterns, incense, and flowers to Nono-sama (Buddha), and during the festival the head priest of the corporation read sutras, making for a wonderful festival that the children got very serious about!!

Some children listened to sutras and sang songs with their hands together, and at the end they poured sweet tea on the baby and said, "Congratulations, Nono-sama." Some infants who couldn't speak just put their hands together and bowed deeply with a smile.

The Nono-sama, flowers, and incense were available at the nursery school, so we arranged them on the table, prepared a ``sweet tea set'' using toys, and enjoyed the Pre-Hana Festival almost every day.

The children have naturally learned to join hands.
By experiencing the events that are unique to Buddhist daycare, I feel like they have become kinder older brothers and sisters.
