With the arrival of a new year, cheerful voices have returned to Kita-Urawa Nursery School.
It's New Year's in the room too! There are kagami mochi and shuttlecocks, and the Hikari group of 0-year-olds are flying around with dragon figures that they've worked so hard on pasting stickers on!
We played kite flying as a New Year's activity.
The children painted their own pictures and patterns on the floats and then flew them around Kita-Urawa Park with gusto.
