Hello, this is Shokoji Nursery School in front of Itabashi Station.
This time we will bring you a report on our food education activities!
During the food education class, we "peeled corn"
After reading the picture book "Corn Boy," let your imagination run wild and then it's time to peel the corn!
No matter how much I peel it, the corn just won't come out!

He peeled the skin away intently and diligently to reveal...corn kernels.
The children looked very happy as they said, "Teacher, it's here!"
Peeling a whole corn was very satisfying and fun! It was wonderful to see the children excitedly working on the process of peeling many layers of husks until the kernel of corn was revealed without giving up😌💕
It was heartwarming to see a friend discover the corn served at lunch and happily exclaim, "I peeled it!"
Seeing the children eating the food so deliciously made me think that food education time is a great idea⭐️
After the food education lesson, we also did a corn coloring lesson.
They enjoyed coloring while talking with their friends, saying things like, "It was green!" and "It's yellow!" I felt their growth when I saw them remembering the colors of the materials and coloring them 👏🏻
