This is Shokoji Nursery School, Niiza Ishigami Garden.
This year, thanks to the generosity of the nearby Arai Farm, two-year-olds were able to experience harvesting edamame beans.

Working together with teachers...

I took a good sniff at the smell of the edamame beans I harvested yesterday.

Then, he skillfully picked the beans from the branches!

It takes a lot of strength, but the two-year-old did a great job harvesting the fruit himself!

The edamame beans carefully placed in the cup are...

I went to hand it to the lunch teacher and said, "Please."

The freshly picked fruit was delicious, and even the one-year-old ate it up.

Of course, even the two-year-old was able to try it!

I realized how grateful I am to be able to carry out this type of food education activity that is rooted in the local community.
