This time, we will introduce two food education programs we conducted.
Let's start with the "sweet potato" stamp!
When we put sweet potatoes in front of the children, they all showed great interest, poking them or lifting them up and looking around them!
Then, everyone sniffed it.
Some kids even grow long beards!
Wondering what's inside? We all cut the sweet potato into pieces to check out the cross section!
The children were talking to each other, "It's yellow!" and "It doesn't smell!"

Once the observation is over, it's time to start stamping with the cut sweet potatoes!
The children had fun stamping round shapes using sweet potato-colored purple and yellow paint!

On another day, we had a mushroom nutritional education session.
We posted various photos of mushrooms in the room and had the children say each other's names and look at their shapes and colors, building up their excitement for the mushroom food education experience, and then Izaki's mushroom food education began!
The children quietly picked up enoki and shimeji mushrooms from the cafeteria and carried them to their rooms.
First, he sniffed it..."It smells like mushrooms!" He confirmed the unique smell of mushrooms!
Then, when the children tried picking mushrooms, their looks became more and more serious and they became completely engrossed in picking the mushrooms!

Everyone ate a lot of the mushroom food that was served that day!
Children rarely have the opportunity to come into contact with food in their daily lives or to learn about the ingredients used in the meals they eat at school, so I would like to continue to cherish these opportunities to experience jobs like this.
