Hello! This is Shokoji Nursery School in front of Itabashi Station.
This time, we will introduce our interaction with the day service center located right next door.

Previously, I used to interact with elderly people at a day care center called "Miyoka" twice a month, but since the COVID-19 outbreak, I have not been able to interact with them.
We were thinking about how we could somehow create an opportunity for interaction on Respect for the Aged Day this year, so we created a wall with the children's handprints as a gift for the grandparents.

It has been about a year and a half since we last interacted, and some people even remembered the children who were there then.
We gave the children the wall decorations that we all made as a gift, and the grandparents gave us origami paper in return, which made the children very happy!

Although everyone was wearing masks to prevent infection, the grandparents and children were all very cheerful as they interacted with each other.

I hope to find another opportunity to create this kind of valuable opportunity for intergenerational exchange.
